The infamous Kappa Party, so notorious the Kappa’s eventually disavowed any connection to this spring break event and it’s name was changed to the Texas Beach Party, held annually in Galveston Texas since 1985. Filmmaker Beaty Four Entertainment, Inc produced the 1stTexas Beach Festival at East Beach, Galveston, Texas in April, 2005. Concert goers called it the best rap concert ever. Beaty Four filmed the entire three day weekend and gathered footage from previous years. Animated rap star Lil Shrimp leads you through the facets of the Texas Beach Party including cruising the Seawall, the parties and the concert. Hear veterans of the Beach Party talk about how this event played a key role in the explosion of the Texas Rap Music scene to international prominence.
